This investigation took place on May 29, 2009. This was a package deal through Haunted Heartland Tours, and both Cindyjo and Danielle went on the trip. They spent right about 4 hours investigating, and were able to gather some interesting evidence. They were constantly plagued with low battery power and many times complete loss of power. In the boiler room or the "hole" where the prison snitch was housed and brutally murdered, the K-2 meters consistently registered from 3-4 on the scale. While those numbers are not particularly high, only a very small part portion of the existing complex has power currently being supplied. Where the K-2 meters were used there was no power available whatsoever. It was here that Cindyjo felt a hand run up her right arm, after asking for a sign if anyone was present with them. The first photo shows an interesting orb, while the second photo, in our opinion possibly shows a mist trying to appear in the right hand window.

My hats off to both Cindyjo and Danielle because they both worked very hard during this investigation. By best accounts, they probably investigated 3 hours and 40 minutes out of the 4 hours available. Trust me, when I picked them up the next morning, they were "dead" tired. The EVP'S below were used because during these recordings they were sure no other individuals were around. We did obtain other EVP'S but they were discarded because of a question of possible contamination from outside sources.

The first EVP was picked up in the "Sugar Shack" or the prison recreation room. Pool playing, card games, and other "activities" took place here. In this EVP near the end we hear "Sparky." The Electric chair at Moundsville was called "Old Sparky." The second and third EVP'S were both recorded in the hole. This was where R.D. Wall, the prison snitch lived. Most places say he was a prisoner while one other said he was the maintenance man. Whatever the case, he was kept isolated for his own safety. He was caught one day by a group of prisoners and brutally murdered. In EVP# 2 we hear "yes" near the end. In EVP#3, we feel we hear a faint "hello."

I figure that there are quite a few  of us that have never been to Moundsville. So, I created a "movie" of sorts to show to you a little of the prison.
